Glitch-Cam

Glitch-cam is a product inspired by the prospect of creating an 'alive photograph'. It is an autonomous camera that 'documents' your life in the form of glitches that it decides and creates. The loss of human-input creates the most impartial photographs possible, and then takes that theory further by digitally glitching them. Glitch-cam represents our desire to be lost in a digital world, portraying this in a rich and warped sense of our own world.
The form attempts to mimic it's function, with a random harsh metallic structure encapsulating a seemingly precious and gem-like camera - technology encapsulating the fragile 'you'.
The final images are digital alterations on one original image, taken via time lapse and glitched before they are seen. This particular glitch technique is executed simply by reformatting the coding from RGB to CMYK in Photoshop .raw files.
