Emotional Limb
This prosthetic is a critique on the stigma surrounding prosthetics, disability, and beauty. The prosthetic was designed to create a emotional connection for the wearer, allowing them to reconnect with the psychology of touch. When the Emotional Limb comes into contact with a stimulus it will react by changing colour according to the type of stimulus. The shape of the arm was designed to contradict the perception of disfigurement associated with the loss of limbs and instead emulate elegance, beauty, and delicacy.
