1920s Lace and Crepe Wedding Outfit - Commissioned to create a 1920's shift dress for a wedding. The lace was trimmed and hand stitched to the bias cut body to give a merging effect. The sleeves are flared slightly and decorated with 2 self-cover buttons. It has an invisible zip and 3 self-cover button fastening at the back. The over skirt has a ribbon finish on the inner edge. Fabrics: Crepe, Lace (Outer), Silk Lining (inner)
Double Layered Wool Coat - Oversized, double layered wool coat with a large draped collar and contrasting wool suiting top layer. This 100% pure wool piece is belt fastened with an interior tie detail. The top layer is finished with either a narrow or double turned hem. The front edges are neatened with ribbon as these can be seen when the coat moves. The main body of the coat is constructed cleanly; there are raw edges on the outer collar edge, the bottom hem and the tie belt, and these are all for aesthetic purposes.
Single Layer Corset - Completed a short course in corsetry that explained the methods and techniques required to create a single layered corset. Main body constructed in coutil with matt bias tape for the boning channels and top and bottom edges.
Pleated Shoulder Wool Coat - Slim-fitting, pleated shoulder wool coat with invisible side pockets and high standing collar. This coat is made from 100% pure wool and is zip fastened diagonally across the centre front. All edges are bagged out and top stitched for decorational purposes. There are also additional panels at the centre back to enable a closer fit.
