Design, 3D Printing and Analysis of Polymer Based Auxetic Core Structures

• Designed a 3D CAD model of the auxetic structure in compliance with the part fixture and tooling specifications regarding ASTM standards via Fusion 360
• Facilitated specimens using the fused deposition modeling process FDM via Ultimaker desktop 3D printer, subjected samples to a 4-point bending test to analyze the bending stress
• Performed a finite element structural analysis FEA via ANSYS Workbench to analyze varied stress
• Conducted advanced mathematical operations using the design of experiments (DOE) via full factor ANOVA test in Minitab to analyze the main & interactions effects plot
