Traditional and modern ways of cutting :
Now a days , people use knives/choppers for cutting vegetables but most of them still use traditional way of cutting
i.e. use of “the boti”.It’s an unique cutting instrument in which both the hands are free to hold the vegetables/fruits
And then cut it. The serrated tip serve the purpose of grating coconut.
Women of certain states/region/rural areas/age group still find themselves comfortable and faster in using boti for cutting.
Whereas , newer generation find it scary to use .
