Indian Institute of Microfinance for Women (ISMW) - ISMW is an institute run by Women's organization - SEWA. It aims to train people for microfinance deals in rural areas. The symbol encapsulates the unity of purpose - to act as catalyst, in the quest for empowerment. The dot containing form is the diya – the light that educates; as well as the vessel – that contains and secures. The red dot, is the symbol of shakti, the female energy and principle, according to Indian tradition. The bindi is between the eyebrows (the seat of wisdom).
Campaign against Thalassemia - The brochure was created for an 'Awareness Campaign against Thalassemia', a fatal genetic disorder of the blood. The series focused at youth of marriageable age and urged them to test for the genetic 'carrier' trait for the disorder to make a conscious marriage decision and to prevent a possible Thalassemic from taking birth. The approach is storylike. It unveils the disorder like a suspense thriller. The idea is 'awareness through education and empowerment' refraining from any emotional or forceful dissemination of information.
E-Factor - An events management company. The symbol takes into account a versatile firm capable of handling any kind of event (as depicted by the myriad forms of E). The logo and marketing materials were made while working at the Design Workshop in New Delhi.
Hibiscus - Hibiscus is one of the upmarket real estate projects of 'Silverglades', based in Gurgaon, on the suburbs of New Delhi. The brief was to depict the identity of Hibiscus as a warm, yet elite residential space. Designed by Ramesh Khosla and Paul Friedberg, well known for their modern architecure, the symbol thus stylistically, is a modern abstraction of the flower and represents the high-rise quality of the buildings. The logo was made while working at the Design Workshop in New Delhi.
