Wau over the sea sofa bench design is elegant, leisure and sleek. It meant to reflect the simplicity of the environment and racially harmonious society in Malaysia. It also provides a message that we are sitting on a same boat to create a harmonious community of diverse people can live harmoniously and peacefully.
This design is inspired by Malaysian fishing boat, wau bulan (kite) and wave. The sofa bench body is using solid wood in walnut finish to make it look like a boat shape and back of the design is came out from wau bulan shape with wood engraving. It will allow the viewer to imagine that he or she is on the boat at sea when lying or sitting on it while enjoying the view of the wau flying overhead. It can convey a comfortable and relaxed feeling. The pronunciation of the word "wau" rhymes with "wow" – fantastic. It also conveys a wonderful feeling.
