Sheilla Sanon

Beginning in the fall of 2013, my introduction to woodworking course was tasked with creating a plant stand or barstool within a range of sizes and finishes. MOONSHINE was my very first built piece of furniture. It is saturated with sentiment and the newness of the Carolina's fall season. Composed of red oak, this barstool displays simple mortise and tenon joinery and a turned seat carefully sanded to a glassy smooth finish.
