I wanted to have a car phone holder. I took this opportunity as a design challenge and designed a cool car phone holder.

I never used my car CD player slot as I always play music using my phone so I thought of utilizing the slot by creating a disc shaped support system for the car holder which will sustain the entire phone weight.

I created initial drawings, using basic mechanical drawing technique - top view, side view and Isometric view. I created a 3d model in Solidworks and prototyped it using 3d printer.

The first two prototypes consumed a lot of material, so I reduced the material and gave it a cool look in third protoype.

I used the third prototype to test the product and it sustained 2000 miles.
