My drawing and rendering skills were brushed up and i became an expert in sketching hands after drawing 26 for this book!
Sign language book-cover - There is need to invent a Universal language for people from all backgrounds to communicate.
Sign language is one of the most successful communication medium.
Sign Language book-Poster - Along with just a Book that teaches sign language, I wanted the reader to be more involved with the content. Hence i also included a poster.

From my drawes below,Cover - Using just found images, I have illustrated my poem about obsession to possess immaterial things in order to record a memory.
Art book-Poem - Since childhood i have the obsession to collect broken beads, bus tickets, dried flowers, etc. And the obsession continues.
The use of found images as visuals prove to be helpful in visualizing my poem.
Art book-Accordion fold - The book is bound in the form of a never ending Accordion coming out of an old drawer/box of collectibles.
I have tried bringing out the essence of the content to the form of the book.

Hand gestures - I have been experimenting a lot with ink blots and black crude lines.
This book consists of five comic spreads.
Hand gestures-Title page - Mr. Handysa is character born out of ink blots and communicates only through hand gestures.
Hand gestures-Spread 1 - This project has helped me develop a new style of illustration.
Communicating without much text was a challenge which i dealt with heavy illustration.
Tale of a mat - A trip to Pattamadai, TN, made us aware of the dying craft of mat weaving from special river grass.
The story is self written, about the life of that one mat, from first perspective.
'mat' book - In order to make the book look like its about a Mat, i folded it in the way the mat is traditionally folded.
I like bringing in the origami feel to a work if its possible. Exploring different forms of a book has been an interesting part of publication design.
Book cover - Taking my calligraphic exploration to the next level, I have created a book cover for a fictitious book about One truth- God is one.
Here i followed a more exploratory process by writing the Kabir Dohas in calligraphic style than actually playing around more with the Layout of the cover.
