Redesigning a kettle to counteract the issues associated with technological obsolescence and how it can be combated. This design using platform sharing, using exisitng components that are designed in modules for easy upgrading by the consumer. This way, the product lasts longer as the short life components such s the thermostat and heating element can be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer.
