Objective: Pillar Technologies is an young game changing startup with an revolutionary concept for a construction site sensor. The smart sensors monitor the air and give real-time alerts and long-term analysis of risk levels at job sites. Data is collected via proprietary software. I was tasked with designing a tough/rugged housing that can endure the demands of a work site. Key features: Durability, Iconic design, Venting, and Attachment options.
Result: The multi-award winning Pillar Sensor has changed the construction game. The rugged designed unit features a durable faceted housing with large grill vents. The unit also has nested magnets and elastomer straps which make mounting easy and intuitive. The Pillar Sensor was also featured in the TechCrunch CES Hardware Battlefield competition!
