In this project I was required to create a surreal image. Coming up with a concept was difficult but I finally came up with one while listening to music. The line “I’m not as think as you drunk I am” came up in the song Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time by: Panic! At The Disco. The idea that came to my head was if you are really drunk your bloodstream will just be full of alcohol, and then I thought that wine is a similar shade of red to blood.
I place each image on a different layer. Then I started using my retouching tools to edit them. First I used the spot healing on the hand to fix up the textures and blend in the scars that will be dripping blood. I would then copy and paste some blood droplets and use the cloning stamp a bit to add more droplets. Then I used the blur tool to make the blood droplets look like they are behind the glass. Finally I added a water ripple in the glass and use color replacement to get it to blend in with the wine.
