Bauhaus Luftfahrt

This project was completed during an internship at a future transportation think tank, Bauhaus Luftfahrt in Munich within a team of 6 students. The project was split into two briefs. The first was to design an A320 sized aircraft cabin with increased l seating capacity, for a short haul aircraft. The second was to design a ground handling system that reduces overall turnaround times for an aircraft. Both briefs were exploring these concepts in the year 2030. The final design is a system which fully compliments one another yet do not rely on one another. Both concepts are fully backwards compatible with today’s aircraft and infrastructure.
