Simulate laser surgery on a big eyeball.
This activity is similar to a strong man game you might find at the carnival, only it uses an electronic drumpad and the electromagnetic spectrum.
Visible Vibes allows the visitor to use sound waves to create patterns in a given media. In this case, small plastic beads are vibrating on a clear drum head in an acrylic housing. When visitors move their hand along the ultrasonic sensor, a wide variety of patterns can be made in the beads.

The entire Gamma Cluster. The overall motif here emulates how gamma laser surgery may be used to treat brain tumors. During this type of surgery, a helmet with various ports is worn. The ports can be opened and closed at various locations to triangulate gamma waves which would bombard the tumor.

Zap! Surgery Beyond The Cutting Edge

Zap! Surgery was a 6000 square foot traveling exhibit designed and built at the Carnegie Science Center during 1999-2001. The exhibit traveled successfully until 2009. It consists of a number of modules based on a given medical subject, such as endoscopes or cryosurgery. Each module is color-coded. The exhibit also included a 15-passenger simulator, in which visitors would be "miniaturized" and then travel through the human body.
