Soft touch overmolded side caps and hard rails for impact protection increase durability and utility - the rails and PVC feet allow the unit to be laid on its back or used upright.
The charging and display circuitry is walled off from the battery area to prevent accidental contact during battery replacement.
I created a single front cover for all units that accommodated multiple styles of ON/OFF switch, accepted the side caps in slotted grooves, and included internal and external cable routing features. All exterior surfaces have curvature to give a high aesthetic appeal.
