I modeled several Radio Flyer tricycles for prototyping and display at the New York Toy Fair. Dimonte Group handled the mechanical design and some CAD modeling.
This concept design grew into two products, the Fold-2-Go and Fold-2-Go XL.
From my own family's experience I know that storage is a valuable feature. My older son towed my younger son around in the bucket more than once.
This flip trike concept arose from the desire to market a product with long user life. It converts from high seating similar to a traditional metal tricycle to low seating akin to a Big Wheel.
The entire rear assembly rotates 180 degrees after unlocking the metal collar in front of the seat.
Graphics, shapes that imitate shocks, and a simulated speedometer add visual interest.
