Mercer Monster Mash
Every October I chair an event called the "Mercer Monster Mash" wherein local businesses and volunteers come together to give children a fun, safe Halloween. We have trick-or-treating, a costume contest, and spooky movies. I plan the events; I design the posters; I market on social media; I also use a bit of guerrilla marketing to increase attendance; I recruit the volunteers to act as safety guards who ensure children cross the street safely. We are now in our third year, and we have had zero injuries.
