MultiKart- Concept - Design of a licensed vending cart for the local municipal corporation. The cart has been designed to be easily copied and manufactured by local vendors using low-cost, low-tech tooling.
MultiKart- Concept - The cart consists of a bare-bone chassis designed to be endlessly, and easily, customisable. The design provides for overhead and undercarriage storage as well as a prominent display and serving area.
MultiKart- Commuting - Since the carts are meant to be mobile and only operational during licensed timings, they are designed to attach to regular bicycles. This facilitates commuting, to and from the licensed vending zone.
MultiKart- Footprint - Thoughtful packaging allows a 30% reduction in footprint area without compromising on functionality and usability.
MultiKart- Licensed Vending Zones - MultiKart has been designed to be easily maneuverable into small licensed vending zones demarcated along the pavement of arterial roads in the city. Each cart occupies 14 sq.ft. of area while still permitting adequate pavement traffic.
MultiKart- Hygiene - Space has been provided for, among other things, an integral wastebin. Waste management around hawking areas is currently a huge problem for the corporation.
MultiKart- Prototype 1 - The chassis allows quick assembly of different types of shelving arrangements and canopy structures. The design is customisable in function and in form.
MultiKart- Prototype 2 - The chassis allows quick assembly of different types of shelving arrangements and canopy structures. The design is customisable in function and in form.
