ALP - Mechanical Ice Breaker - ALP is a mechanical option for the removal of sheet ice that forms on roads, pavements and public squares and represents such a major traffic hazard.
The product presents an environmentally safe option to the use of anti freeze chemicals (and salt and sand) and makes short work of a task that could take a construction crew several hours to complete.
ALP - Mechanical Ice Breaker - ALP has been designed and engineered from scratch, using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom built components and assemblies.
The product uses a 6hp Honda gasoline engine to drive a set of heavy duty blades that can crack open and pulverise sheet ice into ice dust. The ice dust can then be conveniently removed using conventional snow blowers or plows.
