W Bed
The brief was to develop a bed which folds up so that the head and foot boards come together. Additionally, I wanted the bed to open, rise and lock in place. The process involved ideation, iteration, reflection, prototyping, problem solving and fabrication. The material selected was to make the bed light as well as structurally stable.
This project served as a catalyst to new ideas. It was the beginning of a learning process in structures, materials and mechanics.
