Product, Problem, and Solutions - The first part of the redesign was to understand what the product was mainly used for. Next was to figure find out where the weaknesses of the machine were. We surveyed the operators to find reoccuring problems. We took these problems and tried to come up with solutions for both present and future
Final Design Direction - For the final design we modified our three target problem areas to make the machine more reliable and profitable. We also looked into unforseen problems like ergonomics and work place design parameters to make the machine more user friendly.
