Plank Table
Built from repurposed aged fence planks, this table was designed and built for indoor/outdoor use. The table pictured is 42" high x 48" long, but this can also be built as a dining or coffee table.
Using 1.5" square steel tubing I designed and built a simple one piece frame. The planks are held in place by two threaded rods that run through them, as well as the frame. Bolted on each end of the frame, the compression creates a butcher block like surface. I prefer to avoid adhesives and nails, so I found this to be an elegant solution that calls attention to the connection.
