1974 Jeep CJ5 - When I bought it it didn't roll or start and had plants growing on it and animals living in it.
1974 Jeep CJ5 - I got it running then stripped it down, blasted and repainted the frame, rebuilt the differentials, and added a suspension lift. ...sadly I turned this project over at this point to someone who had the funds and the time to finish. I was a broke college student at the time. Hopefully in the future I will have the opportunity to tackle a similar project.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - I bought this boat with the knowledge it had a "small" soft spot that I would be able to repair myself with "1 piece of marine grade plywood, a couple of hours and simple carpentry skills" When I pulled up the carpet and did some more exploration I discovered majority of the floor to be rotten and the foam beneath it soaked.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - I removed more and more rotten boat.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - Eventually she was completely gutted, leaving only a shell and engine.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - I methodically rebuilt the sub-floor and cut new flooring for the boat. I used a template method to avoid scrapping expensive marine grade plywood.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - At this point the floor has been glassed in and I have refilled the left and right thirds with expanding foam for structural integrity.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - Rebuilding the bow seating and storage.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - Gel coat.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - I cut and installed new marine carpet, modified the upholstery, and added an upgraded sound system.
1994 Maxum 1800SR - Installed this wake boarding tower for summer fun and entertainment.
