Website (eCommerce): Save the Pedestrians (2009)

I was asked to design an edgy ecommerce website to sell tee shirts that raised: 1) awareness about the consequences of drunk driving; and, 2) funding for school and town supported safe ride programs.

Having been hit by a drunk driver herself, this client's work was designed to raise awareness among young adults without being preachy. Acknowledging that young people do drink, the provocative slogans advocated responsible behavior when making that choice.

To give this site a fun, youthful appeal, this design boldly incorporated the colors, textures, and structures found in roads and street signs. Using a vibrant approach, and a set of tar footprints in the header, added a sense of humor that reflected the message of the merchandise.

The client was delighted with the results of this project.
