The brief for this project was to create a product that helped to improve peoples lives. We got to choose whatever area we wanted and I chose to help improve the lives of people who suffer from both long and short term back pain. I created an adjustable back support using a mixture of blue foam and memory foam to provide the best support possible. The seat wedge helps to put users spine into the correct curve when sitting down and the adjustable back support can be moved up and down depending on where users are suffering with back pain. The memory foam helps to mold around chairs and the users back. The design is intended to be used on a variety of different hard chairs as their isn't many back supports on the market that cater for hard chairs.
