Irrigation Aid Promotionals - I was asked to design this for a promotional concert. The event was to raise money for installing an irrigation system on some local recreational fields. The band is a group of older men who love good old rock and roll. My number one goal in anything I layout is to make it readable. Second, is style. This one received a retro feel to it in order to describe the music. As I didn't have great pictures to work with for advertising the band, I stylized them in Illustrator.

VA Blade Brochure p1 - I was so excited to do this project. I wanted to create a catalog that not only displayed the products, yet had a lot of texture in it. I worked with a photographer for the photos. Grouping the knives was hard and required the photos to contain more than one knife.

Logos - Here is a collage of logos I've designed in the past. Some have been used and some have not.

DayStar Stationary - DayStar Consulting needed a logo and stationary when Stephanie came to us for help. Her business was advising others on how to be efficient and best manage their business. The icon is a star made out of simplified people of 2 shades. The darker shade represents the employer who is holding up the rest of his business. The fonts were chosen based on the client's personality and on creating interest with contrast.

EduHelp Logo - This logo was for a mother who started a business of tutoring high school and elementary students. Her goal is to help parents stay involved and educate their children. I wanted the name of her company to be very prominent. I also tried to keep the imagery simple and easy to understand. The circle is like the sun rising on a new chapter in learning. The pages give the feeling of being as light as a feather because learning is made easier with EduHelp+.

EduHelp Brochure - The first thing my client needed was a brochure to hand out to people at conventions. She needed this before the logo. So we chose two pantone colors and got to work. She wanted to connect to young moms who were having trouble educating their children. I wanted give an impression of good organization and a place to find answers. The insert was created for conventions only, so she could use the brochure anywhere.

Clarke Fundraising-Book Fair Mailer - I was given 2 flyers, some logos and information to use on this postcard mailer. They flyers had very small images which had to be cut out and re-arranged on the card - along with the logos. The rest of the information had to fit on the back with out crowding the space needed for the address. There was plenty to think about in this design, but in the end I think the main points came to the front.

Thanksgiving Mailer - Direct mailers are a great way to remind clients that you're around.
