miniMe - 2010
2012 iF product design award winner.
Designed while at Ergonomidesign // This little instrument connects biometric sensors placed on the body to track health stats using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and NFC (Near Field Communication). miniME measures ECG, blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, body temperature, blood glucose, cholesterol , haemoglobin and prothrombin time and could even detect if a person falls over, via a drop sensor.Once the biometric data is gathered it is promptly sent to the cloud where it can be easily accessed by health professionals or the patients themselves. The device also works with any smart surface. Once it is placed on top of one, it displays all the biometric data recoded and its history. Patients can compare their data with a constant visual feedback and even suggest doctors or clinics based on their previous experiences.
