Display And Control Design - Redesign of display and controls of dental consol was done as a design project. Design brief was to redesign controls such that it will provide comfort for both dentist as well as patient. Emphasis given on hygiene as it is major problem in existing system. Controls organized such a way that there is less or no chance of error and only person (dentist) can operate them without help of assistant
Model Making - This is model of electric shaver. Scale of model is 1:2 to actual product. Objective of this course was to learn about production processes, production planning and materials. This exercise also gave idea of product detailing and product simulation. Task of this course was to make model exact as a real model.
Form Study - learning in this course was effect of radius manipulation on character of form.
This course started with 2D form radius manipulation in which form transition is done in five steps.
3D form radius manipulation was also done on one form by five different ways
Packaging Design - Task of this course was to learn basics of packaging. In this course packaging redesign of Johnson’s buds was done. Objective was to enhance existing packaging as well as graphics of packaging.
Analytical Drawing - Learning in analytical drawing was Isometric drawing using grid, free hand perspective drawing ( one point and two point perspective).
Nature Drawing - Nature drawing was first course, in this course basic learning was line work and fill of pencil pressure, use of different grades of pencils.
Also detailed observation of structure of trees, plants, fruits and flowers is done while sketching.
Design Drawing - Learning in this course was sketching, isometric and perspective sketching methods and use of different color media.
Simple Product Design - In this course Household products was theme for design process
Task undertaken was redesign of household ladder by providing more legs space while standing, easy to climb and down on ladder and adding multiutility to ladder, also provision of work in between steps is done which was not their in existing ladder.
Digital Methods - Learning in this course was application of adobe illustrator software.
