The Leopan blood lancet is a nessecary part of the Leopan Diabetic monitoring system. Blood needs to be extracted from the finger tip twice per day for testing of blood sugar levels. There are many cheap,painful and unhygenic methods on the market. Our design overcome all these weaknesses with a novel and patentable mechanism and a stylish design.

The success of our design for the blood lancet was dependant upon a reliable mechanism that fired a needle a limited depth into the patient's finger. Force and therefore potential pain and trauma needed to be limited. Our innovative mechanism fully met all these requirements.
