The Chamfer Platform Bed gets it’s namesake from the bevel on the underside of the frame.
When you stand near the bed, only the vertical edge is visible, giving the impression of a much thinner and visually lighter frame.
The legs thread into the frame for added portability. This also allows custom leg height to accommodate under-bed storage. The center leg features an adjustable foot that allows the bed to stay flat and stable on uneven floors while supporting the center beam.
Recessed slots keep the mattress slats flush with the top of the frame and prevent unwanted movement of the slats. IKEA slats were used to reduce cost and labor.
The frame can be easily self-assembled and taken apart for simple moving thanks to loose tenons and Tite-Joint™ fasteners.
