Denning Bridge Bridge Demolition
The Denning Road Bridge Replacement is a job that I helped WM Schultz construction win. After we won the job, I was given the task of designing and finalizing the bridge demolition plan. The demolition plan needed to be within budget and had to be done in a reasonable amount of time. The challenges I faced in the design were dealing with a way to properly dispose of the lead paint covered trusses, removing the 9-inch concrete slab without putting heavy equipment on the bridge, and we had to make sure no construction materials entered the brook below.
