Corporate identity | Office.com - Merola Design was called in and created the new logo and collaborated on the 24 page brand style guide and Corporate Identity manual. Logo variations, support file, fonts and contact information were published and distributed to employees and vendors on DVD. “Fresh Hot Content– Served 24 Hours a Day!” Pizzas were delivery to prospective office.com customers. Chinese take-out containers and mouse pads were also designed.
Logo update | Arts & Entertainment and the History Channel - Each of these identities were being eroded, and mismanaged. While at William Snyder Design, our team­ redesigned, and reimplamented both the A&E Television and History Channel identities. Thirty-two page graphic standards manual for each to maintain usage, consistency and to supply reproduction materials and guidelines for usage of names and titles. Logo variants, color control and unacceptable reproductions were just a few of the topics covered.

Corporate Identity | Brown Shoe Company - Asked to update an icon that’s over 100 years old was challenge. A study was done to determine which of the brand attributes were most recognizable and which of those could be updated an or eliminated. Keeping Busters hat was mandatory. But the large bow tie was lost. After many redraws This Tige was determined to be the most cuddly. A small sampling of character development studies done by illustrator Sid Edwards
Retail advertising | Levitz - Creative direction for weekly advertising program, ROP, POP, catalogs, hang tag and direct mail. An update of their corporate identity was also designed.
Hotel identity | The Buckingham Hotel, New York, NY - After refurbishing their hotel to attract more corporate clients, Buckingham updated their visual identity. The Matisse inspired dancing king logo was created by Merola and illustrated by Jose Ortega and then brought to life on a 12 foot stained glass window fabricated by Rambusch Studios. In addition to the usual business papers, guest welcome kits, neighborhood map, sales brochures and postcards and were created. Ad campaign and launch web site was also design.
