The Wedge
The Wedge came about from an ergonomic study of knife blocks. They were found to be awkward for all users but mostly the elderly and those with impaired arm movement. The Wedge solves the difficulties by allowing the knives to be entered along the edge as opposed to aiming into a narrow slot. The entry points are also curved and narrow as they go so the knife is guided into place
