Embossed Pattern for Acoustical Ceiling - I designed and developed this repeat embossing pattern for Architects and Interior Designers wanting to add some fun and whimsy to their space without overstepping. I refined and honed the pattern using virtual prototypes, and then cnc milled a prototype tool for prototype lab fabrication, and ultimately, laser etched a rubber roller for manufacturing plant trial runs. Concurrently, a new core was being developed as an alternative to cast and mineral wet felted technologies.
Conceilied Grid Ceiling - One of many ideas that I developed for a downwardly accessible concealled grid acoustical ceiling, utilizing a spring tension clip
Fissure Pattern Process Redesign - I eliminated problems, reduced development time and implemented a predictive design process, utilizing a combination of hand design work, Adobe Illustrator and Streamline, Alias|Wavefront, and rapid prototyping, leading up to investment castings.
Embossing Roll Redesign and Remanufacture - I reverse engineered a damaged engraving roll to correct pattern problems causing manufacturing issues, increasing efficiencies and enabling the company to continue to sell this product to an important customer.
