KOD is a conceptual smart caving helmet, designed with 'Siemens NX Surface Modeling' and 'Kolb Clay Modeling'.

Thanks to an integrated light stroke, a whole new lighting experience is achieved. Two touch-sensitive rings and push buttons allow the user to control the helmet. Back-up battery modules in the back of the helmet make the battery replacement in dark caves easier, while a software module allows the caver to adapt and hack his own helmet.

In the framework of Animal Expression Transfer and EMO-Design, this helmet and the interaction with this new product were based on a cuttlefish.
