Explorations in Metal

Metal working is an enthusiastic love. I have done commissions for RISD alumni as well as my own personal projects. My hours in the shop have instilled in me a patience that can only be attained after 8 hours next to a Bridgeport. I love the precision and accuracy that one can achieve in the metal shop. The feel of the machine and the rhythm of the wheels can put me in a trance for hours. Order of operations is key, and I really appreciate the subtle nuances and tricks one discovers when working with metal.
