LEED Platinum
5.5 weeks to create new interior for existing building that meets LEED Gold status in Avignon, FR. By retaining 50% of exist. int. walls, providing natural light / views for all employees through placement, construction and the use of reflective and transparent materials, material reusage, sourcing local/regional sustainable materials and products and creating energy efficient electrical and plumbing systems to feed the building, I was able to boost project to Platinum status within budget. I immediately envisioned a cruciform layout, with light channeling through existing windows on 4 sides. The central core is designed to reflect the region's history in Renaissance style while the 3 wings of the building open into modern, collaborative spaces with the use of white, wood and glass. Custom collaboration centers, Haworth Patterns workstations and DIRRT glass walls completed the design. Full const. docs were created in 5 weeks, Revit renderings to communicate the "wings" should be added.
