Inspired to create a more user-friendly wheelchair that would be affordable for those families with financial difficulties, I came up with "Comfort Bed."
Comfort bed is a specially designed bed that can transform into a chair with specific configuration and essential add-ons for autistic children. This transformation lessens the chance of the supervisor to get injured while trying to lift their child.
Synthetic rattan is chosen as the main material for the surface of the bed due to its low cost and efficiency. The pores between the weaving of rattan fibers allow air to flow and the waterproof nature of rattan makes this wheelchair washable.
These wheelchairs, now being manufactured in Thailand, will be distributed to Father Ray’s Foundation, which supports those in need in several cities in Thailand, as well as made available to families who cannot afford to buy an expensive one.
