That current generation of CCTV for visually-impaired patients is bulky, costly, and heavy.
My teammates and I were asked to brainstorm to create new concepts that would make such technology more user-friendly, both in terms of cost and usability.
1) Combining wireless connectivity between portable CCTV lens and computer glasses to create a new powerful CCTV system
2) Exploiting the current tablet technology by turning it into a CCTV machine. Our tablet case will raise the tablet up, while its camera is enhanced with a special lens to magnify the texts underneath. The case itself also comes with 4 LED flashes.
3) Simple does it. A big yet slim magnifying glass in a frame with a good grip, which is equipped with LED flash as well.
In this project, I was responsible in 3D modeling and rendering.
