Jacob & Co. - Moon Shard is my design entry for the collaboration of @producermichael and creative luxury watchmaker @jacobandco. I am a huge fan of Mr. Blakey's youtube channel. After watching his watch videos, I took into consideration what are the things he likes about watches. Based on my research, Producer Michael likes big sized watches, Glamorous/flashy, fun/wacky, sporty or a driving watch, unique looking, and he loves the Astronomia line from Jacob & Co.
Inspired by the Astronomia line, I designed the casing of the watch to be like a spacecraft that looks modern and fast. The idea for the watch dial is that the triple-axis tourbillon mechanism crashed on the moon surface and hanging on the edge. The diamonds on the dial represent the stars. The gradient blue baguette diamonds provide an accent to the watch.
