The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse & Alcoholism’s (NIAAA’s) quarterly newsletter, the Alcohol Alert, reports the latest findings alcohol research for a nonspecialist audience. I drafted issues 70–79 as a science writer at CSR, Incorporated, the consulting firm that produces the publication. The Alert can be found online on NIAAA’s website at www.niaaa.nih.gov/.
