Napa Gold Oil Filter
This is a cutaway view of a Napa Gold oil filter, which is a standard automotive style filter. This illustration was created to show the quality of the interior of the unit.
The model was reverse engineered based on an actual filter that I cut into pieces. I used a dial caliper to get the measurements, which in this case were accurate down to 1/2000th of an inch.
The modeling was done in 3ds Max, the rendering was done in Maxwell, and the composition in Photoshop.
