7,000 sf Security Operations Center (SOC) in Mountain View, CA. This high-tech space performs two functions: managing internet security operations for VeriSign's clients, and monitoring and protecting credit
card purchases through the internet. Security is enforced by biometrics, including palm print scanners, at all entrances.
A/V requirements of the SOC include large-scale rear projection monitors - augmented with lighting appropriate for the monitors and computer screens.
The SOC also acts as a showcase to clients of VeriSign's technological expertise. The lobby conference room includes electrically-charged glazing, introducing a sense of drama when the SOC is revealed during a presentation. As part of VeriSign's marketing aspects, there are glazed openings located strategically in the circulation space to allow clients to view appropriately-screened activity in the SOC.
