Mandate of the project was to create an innovative blood glucose meter platform for a tech savvy user. The meter had to distinguish itself from a host of undifferentiated products.
Managed both industrial design and UI design with an outside agency. The elite project team faced many challenges in all areas from industrial design, UI design, engineering, software, and localization of both printed instructions and embedded software.
Moderated usability testing on quick start guide instructions and validated improvements with target users.
Contour USB was selected for a Medical Design Excellence Award by an industry jury in 2010.
The product was featured prominently in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
