Holcim Awards - Livable Autonomous Circle

The riversides in Jakarta are common places for slums and illegal housing. It also becomes place for dangerous wastes, which destroy the ecosystem. Flooding happens annually because of river constriction and sedimentation. This project is designed to create a livable riverbank area for the people to live, and autonomous settlement in which the whole systems are able to sustain this area by treating the waste, harvesting rainwater, urban farming, and generating electricity with river flow.
