Artarmon Train Station - The focus of the project includes redesigning of the train station and the main thoroughfare. The linkage will be the celebrated aspect of the project and can be perceived as the extension of the station entrance. The methodology for the intervention will involve relocating the main link to align with the strong linear axial of Broughton Road and stretches from Hampden Lane to Elizabeth Street. The idea of celebrating the pedestrian link will be further enriched by layering of programmatic elements such as retails, offices, plaza, community centre and particularly the placement of the train station entrance along this strong alignment to announce its presence in the suburban context.
site conditions - - looking at the reclusive existing entrances to the train station (how to announce its presence) - train tracks separate both residences of different scales (how to reconnect both sides) - site reveals the prominent linearity that governs the planning and zoning
