Cray Super Computer Sketches - This project was done on spec and was great fun. A very little was known about the computer except that it used optical interconnects and was water cooled. I refined my sketches to two designs and rendered my favorite. It is really a combination of three rectangular shapes. It beckons back to original memory device of a magnetic ring on three rods each perpendicular to each other. Three axis, three volumes. The face is a reference to the 2001 monolith. It has a biometric reader on the face. Every few days it has to be touched by a technician to function. We must never forget that this is simply a tool, an extension of man, a glorified animal bone that you use to crush your opponents.
