Acoustic Recliner for Nokia Only Planet (Design Ethnography & Product Design)
This was one of my favourite student works during my undergrad studies in Visual Communication Design at Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology.
Nokia Only Planet 2006 (international design competition for students) – After an extensive research to capture Indian culture, I designed and prototyped an innovative product having an essence of India. I called the product - ‘Acoustic Recliner’. It was selected as one of the final exhibits at the Design Biennale 2006, from Nov 22 to Dec 03 2006 at St. Etienne in France. I was sponsored by Nokia to attend the Only Planet Conference and programmes in Finland.
