Turbulent Line Facade (Ned Kahn)

This facade was part of the BAC (Brisbane Airport Corporation) 350 Million dollar upgrade and started in late 2009 and completed in mid 2012. There are more than 1 million components in this facade.

RCD was engaged to 3D model and produce full workshop documentation for this 5,000 sq metre 8 level car park consisting of 115,694 coaster sized panels that articulate in the wind creating a forever changing view. RCD also designed parts and developed methods essential to the successful installation of the project.
